Fonderia delle Arti Domenica 6 Maggio 2012 ospiterà in esclusiva la Drum Clinic di John Macaluso, batterista di fama mondiale noto grazie alle sue collaborazioni con artisti quali Yngwie Malmsteen, James La Brie (Dream Theater), Ark, Dee Snider (Twisted Sister), TNT, Riot, Holy Hell band prodotta da Joey De Maio dei Manowar. Il programma sarà diviso in due parti: la prima incentrata sugli argomenti del metodo di Macaluso “Repercussions”, mentre nella seconda parte “Studio Recording”, John illustrerà agli studenti come prepararsi ad una session in studio di registrazione, come comportarsi durante un’audizione, la giusta interazione tra basso e batteria, il lavoro di pre-produzione, e molto altro ancora.
Il programma svolto nel corso della Clinic farà parte dei Corsi di Batteria che John Macaluso terrà in esclusiva alla Fonderia delle Arti a partire dal mese di Ottobre 2012.
John Macaluso è diplomato presso il Percussion Institute of Technology/Musician’s e ha studiato privatamente con: Joe Franco, Tommy Aldridge, Casey Schuerelle, Rod Morgaistein, Ralph Humphrey, Dom Famularo, Jim Chapin, Jim Holland, Joey Heredia, Joe Porcaro, Frank Bullucci, Al Miller, Efrin Toro e Chuck Silverman.
Programma
Repercussion: Linear Drumming, Double Bass Drumming, Dobule Bass fill, Jungle Drummin’, Tempi Dispari.
Studio Recording: questa parte è dedicata non solo ai batteristi ma a tutti i musicisti e analizzerà il lavoro in studio di registrazione, pre-produzione, post produzione, uso del click, come affrontare un’audizione, il giusto set-up in studio per i microfoni, gestione delle dinamiche tra basso e batteria, etc.
